KING OF THE GRIZZLIES
Original Author: Alfred G. Richardson
Original Illustrator: Walter J. Wilwerding
Edited by Leon Stansfield

This is the authorized and enlarged republication of a child's book of animal stories which was first published in 1925. These stories were originally written as a means of building character qualities in children based upon the marvelous God-given natural, unique, and instinctual character qualities demonstrated in wild animals. This 1939 edition has been edited approximately five percent for timely vocabulary changes and to reflect the Christian world view. Comprehension and discussion questions have been added at the end of each story which are designed to increase interest and comprehension and to enhance the goal of the original author and illustrator. All original illustrations including the cover have been retained, plus new illustrations and photographs added. The original cover illustration has been professionally colorized. The text font and page size have been significantly enlarged. This was one of the first books this editor's mother read to him at the age of 5, and which has somewhat miraculously survived for over sixty years.
