A unique tool for the rapid diagnosis of individual student phonic skills. Tests the application-level phonic knowledge - the actual reading ability - of any student of any age in preparation for basic reading instruction. Begin the diagnostic process with a single-page test - The Total Phonic Inventory. Test a few or all 129 sounds in 5 to 30 minutes, depending upon age and readiness of the learner. Then teach the illustrated sounds using the Phonic Links book. The Total Phonic Inventory (TPI) is available in two forms using different special word pairs.
